Terms of Service
Last updated: April 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Torii QR ("Service"). Please read them carefully before using the Service. By registering for or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Article 1 — Service Description
Torii QR is a cloud-based SaaS platform for creating, managing, and analysing dynamic QR codes. The content linked to each QR code can be updated at any time, allowing printed QR codes to remain in use even after the underlying content changes.
Article 2 — Account Registration
You must register with a valid email address and password to use the Service. Please keep your registration information accurate and up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Creating multiple accounts per person is prohibited.
Article 3 — Trial and Paid Plans
New users receive a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. If you do not upgrade to a paid plan after the trial ends, QR code functionality will be reduced, but URL redirects will continue to work.
Billing for paid plans is handled by Paddle (paddle.com), the Merchant of Record for this Service. Paddle is responsible for processing payments and collecting any applicable sales tax or VAT on our behalf.
Article 4 — Prohibited Uses
The following uses of the Service are prohibited:
- Using the Service to distribute illegal content, conduct fraud, phishing, or spread malware
- Publishing content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Unauthorised access to or interference with the Service's systems
- Using Service QR codes as links in spam or unsolicited messages
- Impersonating other users
Article 5 — User Content
You are solely responsible for managing and maintaining the content associated with your QR codes. If we discover illegal or inappropriate content, we reserve the right to deactivate the relevant QR codes or suspend your account without prior notice.
Article 6 — Service Changes and Suspension
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will notify you in advance via your registered email address of any significant changes. We are not liable for temporary service interruptions due to system maintenance.
Article 7 — Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties regarding continuous availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. Except where required by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service.
Article 8 — Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address or through an in-service notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Article 9 — Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
